Language Arts
Students will learn spelling rules, parts of speech, creative writing, and
classic literature (two books per year as a class).
Government
We will learn about the basics of how government is run including
branches of government. Time will be spent discussing the election
process and much more.
Art
The students will learn the basic principles of art and design
incorporated through lessons by using a variety of materials and hands
on projects.
Exchange City
This class includes personal money management and budgeting as well
as critical thinking skills through the use of puzzles and games.
Viva el Espanol 2
This class would continue exposing the student to basic reading and
writing sentences. We will review old vocabulary and introduce new
skits and new vocabulary.
We will move from one topic to the next as material presented is
mastered by the majority in the class. How much we cover will depend
on how fast the children learn the topics introduced.
The 6th grade class will have recess each week also. You may want to
send a backpack for carrying papers home.
There is a one-time $10 art fee for this class as well as a one-time $30 Exchange City fee.
