Overview of the Class:
English literature will be the primary concentration of reading in this class. The Anglo
Saxons, The Age of Reason, The Romantics, The Victorians, New Directions, and The
Twentieth Century will be covered. Grammar will concentrate on A.C.T. prepartion.
Writing - MLA term papers, persuasive, analytical, and narrative writings. There will be
weekly vocabulary work provided.

Other books, materials, or supplies needed: Vocabulary for the College Bound
Student (handed out the first few weeks of class)
Book fee: $15
**Parents are responsible for purchasing text and class materials unless teacher specifies
otherwise.
Prerequisites for this class: Language Arts II
Recommended for: grades 11-12
Average study time: 3.5 hours per week
